As they say, fashion never stops, so as soon as I touched down from New York, it was time for London Fashion Week and I couldn’t wait to check out the new collections from some of my favourite designers. Here are just a few of my highlights from #LFW…
Central Saint Martins MA Graduate Show
After collaborating previously on a project with the students of Central Saint Martins, I always like to check out their MA graduate show to see the work of their emerging talent.
On the catwalk…
The show certainly did not disappoint, with an eclectic mix of colour, fabrics and styles – a huge congratulations to Fabio Piras and all of the students showcasing their work.
A dear friend of mine, as well as one of my favourite designers, I was super excited about seeing David’s latest collection. It was great to catch up with Olivia Palermo at the show as well.
What I wore…
Of course, I couldn’t show up in anything other than one of David’s designs, so I opted for this bodysuit from his SS17 collection, along with an Anine Bing leather jacket and my staple Gianvito Rossi boots. I love the lime colour of the bodysuit– it really reflects David Koma’s signature style and is the perfect pop of colour to add to my usually all black wardrobe.
On the catwalk…
I loved how David’s latest collection took on a tougher edge with the addition daywear and structured coats. Not forgetting his iconic designs – heavily embellished evening wear and dresses graced the catwalk with punchy hues of lime, blue and silver.
Conde Nast Q&A
Fashion week seemed the perfect time to return to the Conde Nast College of Fashion and Design for a Q&A with some of their current students. It’s great to meet such driven individuals, and hope that speaking of my own experience in creating Rodial and sister brand, Nip+Fab, was a help to many of the students who aspire to start their own brand.
I love checking out the latest in British fashion and this LFW did not disappoint.
Make sure you’re following me on Instagram @mrsrodial to stay up-to-date with all the fashion and front row action, babes.
