Another week, another city…#LFW

As they say, fashion never stops, so as soon as I touched down from New York, it was time for London Fashion Week and I couldn’t wait to check out the new collections from some of my favourite designers. Here are just a few of my highlights from #LFW…

Central Saint Martins MA Graduate Show

Maria Hatzistefanis London Fashion Week CSM

After collaborating previously on a project with the students of Central Saint Martins, I always like to check out their MA graduate show to see the work of their emerging talent.

On the catwalk…

The show certainly did not disappoint, with an eclectic mix of colour, fabrics and styles – a huge congratulations to Fabio Piras and all of the students showcasing their work.

David Koma

A dear friend of mine, as well as one of my favourite designers, I was super excited about seeing David’s latest collection. It was great to catch up with Olivia Palermo at the show as well.

What I wore…

Of course, I couldn’t show up in anything other than one of David’s designs, so I opted for this bodysuit from his SS17 collection, along with an Anine Bing leather jacket and my staple Gianvito Rossi boots. I love the lime colour of the bodysuit– it really reflects David Koma’s signature style and is the perfect pop of colour to add to my usually all black wardrobe.

On the catwalk…

I loved how David’s latest collection took on a tougher edge with the addition daywear and structured coats. Not forgetting his iconic designs – heavily embellished evening wear and dresses graced the catwalk with punchy hues of lime, blue and silver.

Conde Nast Q&A

Maria Hatzistefanis Conde Nast College of Fashion

Fashion week seemed the perfect time to return to the Conde Nast College of Fashion and Design for a Q&A with some of their current students. It’s great to meet such driven individuals, and hope that speaking of my own experience in creating Rodial and sister brand, Nip+Fab, was a help to many of the students who aspire to start their own brand.

I love checking out the latest in British fashion and this LFW did not disappoint.

The Fashion Awards 2016

About last night..

I had the best night at the Fashion Awards on Monday! I loved bumping into old friends and meeting so many great people. As this was a night I was looking forward to for months, I couldn’t wait to finally prep for it.

I ALWAYS start by upping my skincare game to make sure my skin look flawless for the night. My go-tos were these 3 products. I’m obsessed with the Rodial Super Acids rush peel paired with the Dragons Blood eye mask, you’re skin is left with the perfect base for makeup after using them! To finish, I went in with the Pink Diamond serum which leaves the skin GLOWING.

The arrival..

I took the red carpet with the ultimate fashion date..David Koma! He is my favourite designer and I was so honoured he dressed me for the evening. He is such a talented man.

The dress that I chose to wear was black, high necked and had a slit down the leg, which is exactly my style. I was obsessed with the details as I’ve never worn a dress like this before. I also experimented me a new make- up look. I went for a softer brow and soft smokey brown eye.

The ceremony..

Attending the show alongside so many fabulous people like Kate Moss, Jourdan Dunn, Alexa Chung and Olivia Palermo was really excting. Everyone looked so glamourous and the atmosphere was electric.

A big thank you to the British Fashion Council for an unforgettable night!

New York, New York

So my most recent New York trip was a huge success and I got up to A LOT. Press meetings, store visits,  I attended some exciting events and got to catch up with our US team. Whenever I fly over to New York I love keeping myself busy, and making the most out of a business trip.

Here what I got up to…

Rodial Press Breakfast Launch

The first couple days just consisted of meetings, meetings, meetings, and so I was really looking forward to our NY press breakfast! We celebrated the launch of Rodial skincare at Saks, and the launch of Rodial makeup at Space NK. It was great to reconnect with everyone and thank everyone for their hard work.

Whitney Art Party

The Whitney Art Party event was so much fun and I had such a great night with Karlie Kloss. I absolutely loved her Brandon Maxwell dress..she looked gorgeous! The David Koma dress I was wearing is one of my favourites from his collection. I was obsessed with the way the skinny sleeves flared out, and the leather pocket panels on the front. Definitely my style, along with my fierce signature hair and make-up look.  My glam team are amazing..

Here I am wearing a Balmain Paris dress and some super stylish Balmain gladiator heels. I loved the high-necked choker effect the dress gave .. I love experimenting with different styles! I had a really great night and loved this outfit. Thanks again glam team..X

I can’t wait to get back to the city later in the New Year! Have a fab Christmas babes..!

Flew in to NYC and rushed back to my hotel to meet my Glam Squad for hair and makeup before my first NYFW event of the week. I was invited to join Sandra Choi, Creative Director at Jimmy Choo to celebrate their milestone 20th Anniversary.

I wore cream and gold tones accentuated with my fabulous  WXYZ jewellery & vintage clutch…

And of course completed the look with Jimy Choo Sandals.

Joining the likes of Amber Valetta, Diane Kruger, Olivia Kulpo and Mary J Blige – it was such a fun event and a great way for me to start NYFW!

After a long few weeks of travelling and preparing for the busy fall season, I jetted back to Greece to spend time on the beautiful island of Mytilene. My entire family were there so it was great to spend time with them all.

I loved catching up with my sister and enjoying the amazing Greek freddos !

My June Highlights so far…

Last week, I was honoured to be invited to the Founders Forum, held just outside of London at The Grove Hotel. I joined digital entrepreneurs from around the globe to network and hear about the latest innovations in all things digital.

FF Invite

Prince William attended the event as well and spoke about cyber-bullying, something I feel very strongly about as I have kids of my own. I am loving nude colours for day and rocked a monochrome nude look accessorised with Jimmy Choo nude pumps and an Alexander Wang bag.

Switching gears to a more glam event, I attended The V&A’s Summer Party. I had to glam it up for the occasion and wore a black gown with a Balmain statement belt and sandals and a Givenchy clutch.  I am loving long straight hair at the moment and my glam team did an amazing job to get me red carpet ready! A special thanks to my Rodial Harvey Nichols Makeup-Pro team for getting me sculpted to perfection. It was great to return to the museum after my evening talk back in May. Luckily the rain held off for most of the night, so we were able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings (loved the emerald green carpet!)and mingle with some of the biggest names in fashion and arts, including Kate Moss, Suzy Menkes and Nicholas Coleridge.

Summer has begun …

Having just returned from another trip to NYC , for secret filming project #2, I wanted to share what  I have been up to over the past weeks…

As a Patron of the British Fashion Council, I am proud to be mentoring their young Emerging Talent. We invited 15 young designers to come to Rodial HQ for a Digital Workshop – they all left with practical ideas and tips of how to grow their online presence of their fashion brands.

BFC flowers

Summer Party season has begun … I was thrilled to attend the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition Preview Party. I love to keep up with the art scene. This exhibition is always great at showcasing a variety of work in all media, including painting, sculpture, photography and film. A definite must-see!

I wore a coral red Christopher Kane dress to honour Christopher, who was part of the committee.

From here, and after a quick change of outfits! I went to join Erin O’Connor and the fabulous Jimmy Choo team at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards. Erin presented an award to Sandra Choi, the brilliant Creative Director at Jimmy Choo. The highlight of the evening was from legendary actress, Susan Sarandon, on accepting her Glamour inspiration Award.

I had to glam it up for the awards and wore a rose gold Balmain dress.

Daily Mail PCPC

Escaping the freezing cold I headed to the glorious sunshine in Palm Beach.

I was super excited to be invited to speak at the Daily Mail PCPC conference, where I joined the social media panel, moderated by the fabulous Tamara Abraham. The panel was all about how to harness, engage and empower the online community. Robin McGraw; philanthropist, TV personality and two-time #1 New York Times best-selling author shared the panel with me. It was so great to be surrounded by such inspirational people.

I stayed at the legendary, and very beautiful, Breakers Hotel and even managed a sneaky swim!

It was a fun filled weekend at the conference, I also got to visit our teams at the newest stores of Saks Fifth Avenue that stock Rodial….and of course managed to save some time to shop!

I have been filming my business tips Q&A for a global tech brand….and have some VERY exciting news to share with you all next week!

The fashion month has started! First Stop New York Fashion Week. I love attending the shows as I get inspiration for new make-up looks and also keeping up to speed with designers and thinking of future collaborations for my brands.

I kicked off NYFW with the Alexander Wang show which was edgy and urban. I bumped into Kylie Jenner on the front row, I haven’t seen her since our photoshoot in LA in December and always good to see her.

Victoria Beckham’s show had a big focus on corsets but adding her new modern twist. Her collection showed how her own personal style has evolved –concentrating on tailoring, heritage fabrics, volume and of course knits! Stand out look for me was definitely the black belted cutaway corset teamed with a monochrome diamond print skirt.

The highlight of my trip was our very own designer partner for this NYFW – Jonathan Simkhai, 2015 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner. I was so proud that Rodial was the official skincare partner for his show! Jonathan is an expert in contouring the body with his use of feminine lace, adding fur and fringing. I loved the nudes with dewy skin and messy, natural ponytails – great look for spring!                                                                                                                               JONATHAN SIMKHAI-Hannah Thomson-61JS

I was in great company too, sharing the front row with Anna Wintour and Olivia Palermo. Olivia was of course, her usual glamorous self, rocking a gorgeous camel fur trimmed coat – perfect for the NYC winter.

I also stopped by the Rachel Zoe presentation. I have always been a fan of Rachel, she’s super talented and it’s so great to see her own brand grow.

Big thank you to the fabulous Jason & Melissa for my hair & make-up!
